Jennifer Bourne, 2003-2004 PTA President called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. She welcomed the crowd of parents, caregivers, students, and teachers. She reminded everyone that the membership drive was ongoing and encouraged all present to join PTA.
The Cultural Arts Winners and Participants were announced and ribbons awarded. Winning entries will be sent for further competition. All entries were displayed in the cafeteria for public viewing after the official meeting. The Cultural Arts Contest was open to all students in grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. An after-school workshop was held on Monday, October 13 to assist children with entries by providing materials and guidance.
Four (4) of the 4H Share the Fun Talent Show winners performed for the audience. Fourth and Fifth grade students were eligible to participant in the Talent Show held earlier this month.
The Room Count was won by Ms. Michelle Brown, Fourth Grade.
The meeting was dismissed at approximately 7:45 p.m., and attendees were encouraged to visit the cafeteria for refreshments provided by the Cultural Arts Committee and view the Cultural Arts Exhibit.
